Caramel Apple Cake

One of my favorite things about Fall is all of the delicious foods! I love most anything Caramel Apple Flavored, so this Caramel Apple Cake is no exception. It's the perfect Fall treat that you need to make now!

What you will need:

1 Box of Spice Cake Mix
1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1- 1 1/2 Teaspoons of Allspice
1 8oz Container of Cool Whip
Caramel Dip, Topping or Squares

Directions:

Not shown in above photo are the eggs, oil and water that goes in the cake mix. Mix the cake according to box directions. Then add in 1/2 Teaspoon of Cinnamon and 1- 1/2 Teaspoons of Allspice. I went with 1 1/2 Teaspoons but it's whatever you prefer. The Cinnamon and Allspice added to the Spice Cake Mix is what gives the cake the Apple Flavoring.  Bake the cake on 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and poke holes all in it with a straw. Immediately pour Caramel Topping over the holes.

I used Caramel Dip and Melted Caramel Squares, but I think Caramel Ice Cream Topping  would work just the same if not better. Be sure to heat the caramel in 10 second intervals in the microwave so that it will be easier to pour and spread over cake.

Let Cake Cool and then cover with cool whip.  Here is where you can be creative for your toppings. I chose to cut up apple slices and laid them on top of the cool whip. I also drizzled more Caramel over the Cool Whip and Apple Slices. You can add anything you want to the Cool Whip. My husband would have normally preferred nuts on the Cool Whip, but since our son has a severe nut allergy; nuts are a thing of the past in our home.

This cake really is so delicious. My husband and son both are very picky eaters and they loved it. If it's approved by them, then you know the cake has to be good.

Sorry my Caramel drizzling skills are not the best!  The cake really is scrumptious though!

This cake is the perfect dessert to make for Church homecomings, family reunions, Thanksgiving Dinner or for any occasion. If you're like me, I like to bake a lot in the Fall and around the holidays to satisfy my sweet tooth cravings.  You will love this Caramel Apple Cake. It's the perfect Fall dessert!
