High Five For Friday

It seems like this week has flown by. I guess I've just been super busy and couldn't keep up lol. However, I'm so glad it is Friday. Let's take a look back at the last week.

1) On Saturday I watched my husband race at the Hillbilly Arm Drop Drag Races. He did really well. You can read all about the races here

My husband's 99 Camaro SS

2) Sunday our church had our annual Homecoming. We had an amazing service with great singing, preaching and food.

My brother and I at Homecoming

3) Monday and Tuesday were such beautiful warm days. I took Raylan to a pumpkin patch and rode him in his wagon. He had a blast. You can read all about the pumpkin patch here

I loved the Olaf  pumpkin from Frozen

Pay no mind to my dad's bad photo taking skills lol ( Raylan, myself and my brother)

4) Yesterday was our Trick or Treat in the county. Justin and I, had so much fun taking Raylan. He wasn't afraid of any of the costumes. It was just so much fun to watch his little expressions. It was cold though, so we only took him to a few places. Next year will really be fun!

5) Happy Halloween Everyone! It's Raylan's 1st Halloween! I may or may not be putting my Christmas Tree up this weekend lol.  I'm just so excited for all of Raylan's 1st Holidays.  Have a great weekend everyone!

As always, I'm linking up with

Pumpkin Patches and Wagon Rides

Yesterday and the day before were much warmer than expected for late October. Raylan and I decided to make the best of this nice weather while Justin was at work. I knew there wouldn't be many more warm days ahead, so I decided to take ourselves to a little pumpkin patch. Many of my friends have went to larger pumpkin patches, but were Raylan is still so little, a small pumpkin patch was all we needed. Along with my dad and brother, Raylan and I visited Forgot N Tymes Farm in Louisa, Ky.

Please excuse the photo. My dad is not a very good picture taker lol. He caught us all off guard.  The sun was also in our eyes.

At Forgot N Tymes children can pick their own pumpkins, decorate pumpkins and also go for hayrides. There was also a mini corn maze.

I loved all of the different pumpkins that they had, especially the decorated ones. Olaf from Frozen was my favorite.

Isn't the place just so cute?  We really enjoyed our selves and definitely plan on going back. It was our first time ever at a pumpkin patch.

After the trip to the pumpkin patch, I took Raylan on a wagon ride. I wanted to make the most of this nice weather. In just a few short days I'm sure we will be staying inside with all the weather changes that are coming.

Raylan was admiring my fall decor

I just love this photo of him. You can tell that he was having a blast!

I'm so thankful for these past few days of beautiful weather. Raylan and I have really enjoyed ourselves. God is so good!

Arm Drop Drag Races

For those of you who know my husband and I,  know what a big race fan my husband is. They also know that if there is a race to attend, then more than likely he will be there. On Saturday my husband and I attended the Hillbilly Armdrop Drag Races in Paintsville, Ky. My husband is one of the many who race at this particular event. We have been several times but this was my favorite time attending.

My husband Justin in his 99 Camaro  (Photo credits of one of my best friends Melissa Fletcher) My phone has way too many pictures and won't allow me to take any more lol

The Armdrop Drag Races are an exciting event to attend. It's an all day event but it isn't very pricey. For my husband to race all day it was only $25 and for admission was only $5 for those who just wanted to watch.

Justin and some of his best friends.

The armdrops are held several times a year in a closed course safe environment in the small towns of Eastern Kentucky including Paintsville, Prestonsburg, and Pikeville.   It is alchohol and drug free. People travel from hundreds of miles and from many different states to compete in the fun filled atmosphere of Illegal Street racing in a legal safe environment. It is held at local airports and large parking lots.

My husband's car once again

Normally at every race  kids from the ages of 3 to 7 race big wheels on the track during intermission and when they finish, they get to take the big wheel  home. Children also receive toys and normally free shirts at every race.  However at this past race, it was Trunk or Treat. All of the drivers lined up and gave out Halloween Candy from their race cars. It was so fun to see all of the children dressed up in their costumes going from car to car to get candy.

Justin is racing on the left. I rode down the track with him a few times. It's such an adrenaline rush!

The armdrops also have several booths sat up for purchase of food and apparel. If you have never been before, then I encourage you to attend. It's different than what your normal plans probably include but it is so much fun. It's an adrenaline rush. You are definitely not bored when you attend. If you would like more information on when the next race is contact me and I will definitely let you know. It's good clean fun that the whole family can enjoy!

One of my best friends Melissa on the left, myself in the middle and one of my best friends Cindy on the right.

We all had a blast. It was a little cool so I didn't get to take Raylan, but I can't wait to take him next year. He already loves cars just like his daddy and tries to make car sounds. I know he will have a blast. I love the fact that the races are very family oriented!

High Five For Friday!

Boy am I glad to finally see Friday! It's been such a busy week, Raylan and I haven't gotten to rest a bit. We are exhausted!!! Anyway let's take a look back at the last week.

!) I received my first Target Beauty Box. I'm in love!!!

It came with the following products:
Elnett Extra Strong Hold Hairspray- which I absolutely love. I will definitely be buying more of this in the near future. Not to mention, the nozzle is amazing.
Fekkai Professional Blowout Hair Refresher Dry Shampoo- I also love this product too. It really works! Most dry shampoo's don't do anything for my oily hair but this was amazing. It also gave my hair a great deal of volume.
Laneige BB Cushion -I haven't tried this yet, but I plan on doing so.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk- This was the only product that I wasn't to crazy over. It's way too light. You really have to do a great deal of blending in when using it.
L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Lipstick in Blushing Harmony*-I love love love this lipstick. It is my new favorite color. My husband isn't a big fan of lipstick, but even he liked it. When it wore off, he told me to put on more lol.

I'm thrilled with this box, especially the price of only $7.  I hope Target comes out with another Beauty Box soon.

2) Raylan turned 8 months old. Time flies by in the blink of an eye. I can't believe my baby will be a year old in 4 months. I just want to cry. He is growing up way too fast.

I don't know what he thought was so funny lol

3) I had Raylan's fall pictures made and I had a few made with him as well. I only wish Justin could have had the day off to take them with us.

There are so much more, but these were some of my favorites that I wanted to share with you. Photo credits of Precious Moments Photography

4) Raylan and I did some crafting. We made ghosts out of his footprints.

I thought it turned out so cute :) I really enjoy doing things like this with my baby boy!

5) Earlier in the week, I took a little trip to the Dollar Tree (I seriously love that place) and I found a Foil Backsplash wall sticker.

So I decided to get creative and use it on my hood range.

It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

How has your week been? Have you made any Halloween crafts yet?

Mini Chicken Pot Pies

My husband and I love Chicken pot pies, especially the ones from KFC. However, we are burnt out on store bought ones. One day while browsing Pinterest, I ran across a super easy and delicious mini pot pie recipe. It's so easy to make and you only need four ingredients. Now that's my kind of recipe!

Here is what you will need

To make this you will need the following ingredients:
A can of Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers Biscuits
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 can of mixed vegetables
1 can of cooked chicken
muffin tins

Take each of your biscuits, flatten them and put in your sprayed muffin tins.

Take your can of mixed vegetables, your can of cooked chicken and your can of cream of chicken soup and mix them together.

Add your chicken vegetable mix to each of the biscuits that you flattened.  I used approximately 2  tablespoons per biscuit.  A great addition to this would be some shredded cheese.

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until  biscuits are golden brown.

End Result....

This recipe is so easy to make but yet so delicious. It was husband approved!
