Step 1: Admit that you have lost your joy
Step 2: Admit that you need to be closer to God
Step 3: Decide to make a change and live a happier more fuller life regardless of the circumstances.
David prayed this in Psalm 51:12- Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
*Realize that we are not the only one who is facing trouble. John 16:33 says These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. This verse speaks volumes to me and reminds me of what all Jesus went through, especially the last part. It says I have overcome the world. Jesus was persecuted and rejected. He was despised. He died for our sins so that we could have life eternal. If he can go through all that he did and still have joy, surely we can too. His suffering was greater than ours will ever be.
*So we must focus on God. Stop letting the troubles of everyday life cause us to lose sight of God. Keep our eyes on Jesus no matter what lemons that life throws in our way. Choose Joy today! Make up your mind to be happy. Things in life are going to happen. There is nothing that we can do to stop certain circumstances. That's just life for you. If Life was easy all the time, we wouldn't have anything to look forward to. Let's keep our eye on the prize and make Heaven our home. Don't let Satan steal your joy! Get your joy back.
Only you can decide to be happy! When you look at life with a positive outlook, more positive changes will begin to take place.
Read your bible more and pray more. Let God help you get your joy back that you deserve to have.
Can you remember a time when you lost your joy? How did you get it back?
Sometimes we need to go through the sadness to experience true joy!
