Christmas was such a wonderful time. I am so sad that it is already over. We truly had such a blessed Christmas. Best Christmas Sweater Vest
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
With Christmas Season, comes plenty of Christmas Sweaters. Christmas Sweaters may be tacky but they are adorable all at the same time. To me, there is nothing more festive than a Christmas Sweater. I just love them all, especially this sweater vest.

It's down to crunch time and Christmas is almost here. Your Christmas list seems to be getting longer and you are completely stressed out. There are so many things to get done in so little time. It's time to take a step back and remember that Jesus is the real reason for the season. He is the reason that we celebrate this magical Holiday. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of it all that we forget to show our children the true meaning of Christmas and how magical it really is. So with that in mind, here are a few free ways to make Christmas a little more magical again for yourself and for your kids.

Thank God It's Friday! This has been a very stressful week with Raylan sick and Finals. Thankfully Raylan is on the mend and finals are over. Hopefully I can relax some. Let's recap my favorite highlights from this week.
1) Reading the word of God and tons of coffee have gotten me through this stressful week of studying for finals. With God all things are possible and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

2) This bible verse has been very fitting for this week. It reminds me that God is bigger than any problem that we might face.
3) This is my favorite Rowdy the Elf Shenanigan from this week. Rowdy has the right idea of relaxation. Raylan loves Rowdy!
4) I love this Christmas photo of Raylan. Isn't it beautiful! He loves trains so I just had to have this fixed of him. It reminds me of The Polar Express.
5) Don't forget to checkout this month's How I Style It: Christmas Colors post. Buffalo Plaid is where it's at.
Well that's it for this week. Stay warm. We have snow in the forecast for this weekend. God Bless You!

Christmas Bucket List
Sunday, December 4, 2016
Christmas Season is finally here and I am so excited! It really is the most wonderful time of the year. Often, we get so caught up on all the gifts that we think we need to buy and we forget the real reason of Christmas. We forget that Jesus is the reason that we celebrate Christmas. He should be praised far above anything else. We also forget to have fun and make memories with our families and friends. I made a Christmas Bucket List to help me to remember to keep Christ in Christmas and to take time to make memories and just enjoy the peacefulness of Christmas. I want to share that list with you. Hopefully it will give you some inspiration too.
What is on your Bucket List of things to do for Christmas?
What is on your Bucket List of things to do for Christmas?

This was a fairly good week until Raylan ended up in the ER last night with really bad bronchitis. Please say a prayer for him. He's feeling pretty bad and I hate seeing him so sick. On a happier note, let's rewind to some of my favorites from this week.
1) Now that Thanksgiving is officially over, I can finally post Raylan's Christmas photos. I am so in love with them. I couldn't decide which one to put on this year's Christmas Card, so of course I put both of them on there.
2) Justin had a 4 day weekend because of Thanksgiving break, so we took Raylan to look at Christmas lights. Looking at Christmas lights is by far one of my favorite things to do during this time of year. It's even more fun now that we have Raylan. He was amazed by all of the lights.
3) Raylan received a FaceTime call from Santa this week. Raylan didn't know what to think. I think he was in shock. Download Video Santa app. It is the cutest thing ever.
Well that's a wrap for me. I hope you all have a blessed weekend. Say a prayer for Raylan and for me, I have finals next week. God Bless You!

5) Raylan heard a knock at the door and guess who it was? It was Rowdy the Elf with his suitcase. He said he was moving in until after Christmas. Raylan's not sure what to think about Rowdy.
Well that's a wrap for me. I hope you all have a blessed weekend. Say a prayer for Raylan and for me, I have finals next week. God Bless You!

This week's featured blogger is Jessica from Life, Love, Reality. Jessica is a wife and a mom of two beautiful little girls. She also works full time and is a soccer and basketball mom. She has been blogging for 9 years. Jessica blogs about the struggles of being a woman, wife, mom, friend and daughter now a days. She has a wonderful blog. Please stop by and say hello to Jessica.
This has been a busy but good week. I'm so thankful that it is Friday. Please say a prayer for me as I take the written portion of my Praxis Exam today. I need to be able to pass the writing and math to be able to advance in the teaching program. Let's recap my favorites from this week.
1) I'm loving this photo of Raylan and his cousin's Noah and Morgan that was taken over the weekend. He hardly gets to see his cousins, so this photo is extra special. We had a surprise party for Noah's 18th Birthday. I only wish Jeremy was in the photo, but he had to work.
2) I visited a church that my cousin had invited me to on Sunday and I am so thankful that I did. It was such a wonderful experience. You could truly feel the presence of God in that service. I can't wait to go back. That service changed my life for the better. God is so good.
3) My day was made this week when I got my first Peppermint Hot Cocoa for the season. It was so good. Now, if McDonald's would hurry and get their Holiday Pies in.

5) I absolutely adore this photo of Raylan when we were Christmas shopping this week. He just had to try on these boots. He looks like a real Cowboy for sure.
Well that's it for me. I hope everyone has a blessed weekend and Thanksgiving. We really do have a lot to be thankful for. God is good.
Layered Chambray Look

8 Daily Things I Do With My Toddler
Monday, November 14, 2016
Being a mom is a tough job, especially a mom of a toddler. It's by far the hardest job that I have ever had, yet the most rewarding. Being a Toddler Mom is definitely not for the faint of heart; however, I love the toddler ages. The toddler years are so much fun! I see my son learning something new every single day. I am simply amazed by everything that he knows. He is also maturing into his own little person with a teenage attitude. I enjoy spending time with Raylan and making memories with him. This truly is the best time. Here are 8 Daily Things that I Do With My Toddler.

1) Last Friday, I promised Raylan that I would help him put up the Kissmas Tee (Christmas Tree) so that's exactly what we did. I wish I would have recorded him. It was so much fun watching him. He was so excited. He is definitely like his momma when it comes to the Holiday's. We love Christmas!

I love this photo of him helping put the ornaments on the tree.
2) On Saturday, Justin and I had a date night and watched Hacksaw Ridge. It is such a good movie. I love that it is Christian based. It is definitely a must see. It's one of the best movies that I have seen in a while.
3) I'm loving this photo of Raylan at Story Time this week. He was having so much fun dancing with the other kids. It's the first time that he has ever danced there, he was bashful all other times. I love how I captured this photo right in the moment of him dancing.
4) This has been a very busy week for baking. My dad and I always make pumpkin rolls every year to sell, but this week we wore ourselves out making them.We made 35 pumpkin rolls, so needless to say, we are exhausted.
5) I've managed to get a little Christmas shopping done this week. Hopefully this way, I won't be so stressed. Have any of you started your shopping yet?
Thanks for linking up. Have a wonderful weekend. God Bless You!

Leopard and Stripes
Tuesday, October 11, 2016
Let's be honest! I have never cared for stripes before. I have always found them to be less than flattering for my body type. This is the first year that I have actually wanted to wear them, so I'm stepping out of my comfort zone. I always see these striped shirts styled so beautifully, so I wanted to give it a try for myself.

Makeup Samples
Monday, October 3, 2016
I received makeup samples free from So Choix in exchange for my review, but the opinions are all my own.
Some of the makeup that I'm wearing is from a fun company called So Choix (pronounced shwaaaa). So Choix is the perfect place that allows beauty lovers to try high-end makeup, perfumes, and nail polishes, without ever having to go into a makeup store.

High Five For Friday
Friday, September 30, 2016
Hello everyone! Welcome to the weekly High Five For Friday linkup hosted by Tif@ Bright On A Budget, Katie @ Cup of Tea and myself. We're glad you're here!
This week's featured blogger is Tanya from Prairie Girl in the Big, Scary World. Tanya is a wife, explorer and crazy cat lady whole loves to travel the world. She blogs about her travels, she posts some great recipes like this Reese's Ice Cream Cake. It looks so amazing! I wish I could eat Reese's, I miss them. (My son has a severe nut allergy, so no nuts allowed in our home.) Tanya also blogs about Beauty , DIY Projects and many other things. She has a great blog! You will love it! Please stop by and say hello to Tanya!
This week has been a pretty good week. I'm loving this cool Fall weather. This truly is the best time of year. What can I say? The Ber' Months are my favorites! Let's recap my favorites from this week.
1) On Saturday, Justin and I managed to sneak away for a little bit for a date. We had dinner and then laid away a few things for Raylan for Christmas. I'm getting so excited for the upcoming holidays. It was nice to just have some alone time. Every couple needs alone time every now and then.
2) Sunday, my brother turned 24. He is such a blessing from God. He truly is a miracle. He only weighed 1lb and 7oz at birth. He has overcame so many obstacles in life. We are so blessed to have him. He was so excited about his 4 wheeler cake that I made him. He loves big celebrations.
3) This week at Story Time, Raylan and the children learned the letter F. We celebrated with delicious F themed snacks and a Funny Face Activity. Raylan loves Story Time and always has so much fun!
4) I finally have my Fall Decor Complete Outside. All I need now is an Orange Ribbon, but purple and yellow will do for now.
5) Raylan picked out his costume this week. He decided he wanted to be a Fireman for Halloween. I might be biased, but he is the cutest Fireman that I have ever seen. I'm glad to be getting things done early this year instead of waiting until last minute.

Relaxed Plaid and Pearls
Wednesday, September 28, 2016
I love Plaid, especially Buffalo Plaid. Plaid is perfect for Fall and Winter! Right now Fall is still pretty warm, so I like a cool and relaxed style. These plaid leggings are perfect for warm Fall days and will transition well for the colder days ahead.

High Five For Friday

Hello everyone! Welcome to the weekly High Five For Friday linkup hosted by Tif@ Bright On A Budget, Katie @ Cup of Tea and myself. We're glad you're here!
This week's featured blogger is Lindsey from Brushing Our Way Through Life. Lindsey is a wife to a Dental School Student, a mom and a Cosmetologist. She loves finding new beauty products that last all day and she loves Fashion. I love her recent recipes on Month of Crock Pot Dinners. They look so delicious. I will certainly have to try them. Please stop by and say hello to Lindsey. You will love her blog.
Sorry I haven't kept up with comments this week. I promise to do better. This hasn't been the best week. Justin's grandmother passed away, so it has been a rough week for all of the family. She seemed just like my grandmother too. I've known her all of my life. I knew her before I even knew Justin. She will truly be missed but I know she is in a much better place now and I will see her again in heaven one day. Let's recap my favorites from this week.
1) Losing Justin's grandmother was so very hard, but we have so many wonderful memories and photos of her. I love this photo of me and Raylan with her. She loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was such a Godly woman who will truly be missed.
2) Over the weekend, we attended our local annual Harvest Festival. It is always such a fun event. They have live bands, shopping booths, great food, inflatables, hayrides and even a parade. We always look forward to going each year. I especially love the lemonade and funnel cakes. I wish I could have gotten a few pictures, but my phone was acting up and wouldn't let me take any pictures. Go figure!
3) I made this Candy Corn Centerpiece for my kitchen table and I love how it turned out. It's amazing what some Dollar Store Flowers and some Candy Corn can do lol
4) I decided to try a new Pinterest Recipe and I love it. Pumpkin Spice Hot Cocoa is so delicious! If you are a pumpkin spice lover like myself, then you must try it! You can find the recipe here.
5) Yesterday was the first day of Fall, so Raylan and I celebrated with a nice walk and then a leaf craft. He glued the leaves to the construction paper all by himself. I thought he did an awesome job! I'm going to frame it!
*Don't forget to take a look at my Fall Bucket List here. It may give you some inspiration to create your own list of things you want to do this fall.
Thanks for stopping by and linking up! Have a wonderful and safe weekend. God Bless You!
