Peppermint Bark


Yay! Christmas is almost here and I cannot wait! I love everything about Christmas, especially celebrating the birth of Christ. I also love giving homemade gifts.  There is just something about a homemade gift that means so much more. I would rather have a homemade gift anyday than a store bought one! One of my favorite homemade gifts to make for others is this Peppermint Bark.

Budget-Friendly Halloween Party for Kids


This year, we hosted our first annual Halloween Party for Raylan, his cousins and friends. It was a lot of planning, but it was well worth it. Raylan and all of the kids had a blast as well as the adults. We were on a budget which meant that we had to be creative with our planning but that's what made the party a success.

Burgundy Fall Dress

30 Facts About Me



I have officially been the big 3-0 for almost 2 weeks now. At first I was a little depressed about turning 30, but now I'm learning to embrace it. I might as well accept it because I can't change it.  I still don't feel my age though, most of the time I still feel like I'm a teenager. Life has not been easy at all my last 30 years, sometimes it has been just plain hard and full of a lot of heartache. However, I am still very blessed. God has always been good and faithful to me.  I have a wonderful God that I serve, an amazing family, a wonderful husband who is also my best friend, and an amazing son that is the light of my life and also my whole world.  God has blessed me far more than I deserve. So with that being said, I want to share with you 30 facts about me now that I am 30.
