Easter has already come and gone. Can you believe that? This year is seriously flying by way too fast. This was one of the best Easter's that I have ever had. It's so much fun when you have a child, especially a 3 year old. Let's recap my favorite Easter festivities...
I love everything about Easter but most of all the real reason that we celebrate the wonderful day.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
I truly get so emotional on Easter weekend just thinking about what Jesus did for us, so that we could have everlasting life. He didn't have to do that for us, but he did because he loves us. That my friends is true love!
Easter week was such a busy but wonderful week. It started with a visit with the Easter Bunny, an Easter party and Egg Hunt at Story Time.
Easter Weekend consisted of our annual Easter Egg Hunt at church. This is such a wonderful event. We had two large inflatables for the children to play on, Pizza and chips, every child received an Easter Basket full of candy, and then the big egg hunt. Raylan found two prize eggs during the hunt. The church also had a cotton candy machine there, so all the kids received homemade cotton candy.
We attended two Easter dinners. My dad cooked on Saturday and Justin's mom cooked on Sunday.
Egg Coloring fun at our house and my dad's.
Raylan also had an Egg Hunt at my dad's house and one at Justin's parents house. It made him a total of 4 egg hunts for the week.
and of course, he received several Easter baskets from his grandparents and us.
I made him an Easter Bunny Cupcake Cake that was so adorable. There was no need for me to cook after all the dinners that we had.
and last but certainly not least, we had an Amazing spirit filled church service. You could definitely feel God's presence. It truly was a wonderful church service.
Raylan said Easter was his favorite holiday and I have to agree with him. I wish Christmas could be more Christ centered and less stressful like Easter is. Easter is such a beautiful time.
Here are my favorite photos from Easter week in no particular order...
Thanks for reading! I love seeing everyone's recaps after a Holiday, so I figured I would share my Easter recap with my wonderful readers as well. God Bless you!
