Summer is already almost halfway over. It seems like it has flown by. You're probably wondering how you have let the summer slip by without doing anything fun. If you're like my family, it's hard to do much when you're on a small budget. However, this summer has been anything but boring. Here is how my family has had fun this summer on a small budget.
My family and I live on a very small budget. With a small budget, it is hard to plan or take vacations. However, we have had the best Summer anyway. We have made so many fun memories and really haven't spent much money at all. The biggest expense has been for gas money for the day trips. Most everything else has been nature related or has been free. It's so nice to be able to have family bonding time out in nature.
Below is a list of things my family and I have done this Summer that have resulted in tons of fun. Following the list are some pictures that have captured our wonderful memories.
- Days Trips
- Countless visits to the lake
- Visiting lakes that have their very own beaches
- Camping out in the living room
- Bonfires with S'mores
- Race Track Visits
- Scavenger Hunts
- Nature Hikes
- Painted and Hid Rocks
- Found Painted Rocks
- Family Walks
- Visits to the Ice Cream Shop
- At home Popcorn and Movie Nights
- Vacation Bible School
- Playing in the Creek
- Swimming
- Homemade Snow Cones
- Picnics
- Visited Playgrounds
There are a bunch of other photos but I won't overwhelm you with them. As you can see, we have had a wonderful fun little summer already. If you're on a small budget, don't let it stop you from having fun. Get out in nature, be creative and find new ways to have fun. Make those wonderful summer memories while there is still time! Summer isn't over yet!
