High Five For Friday: Southern Momma

Welcome to the weekly High Five For Friday linkup hosted by Tif @ Bright On A Budget, Katie @ Cup of TeaBecky @ BYBMG   and myself. We're glad you're here! High Five for Friday is where we come together to share five highlights or five favorite things from the past week each Friday.

1) On Saturday, I got to see Southern Momma aka Darren Knight with my awesome friends Melissa, Tif from Bright on a Budget and Jen. It was a late birthday present to me from Melissa and Tif and it was the best birthday present ever. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I had the best time!  Darren was hilarious and just the sweetest person ever. He was so down to earth and humble. I can't wait to go see him again. All of the people on his comedy tour were so much fun to watch, especially the comedian Red Squirrel.

2) I also had my hair done on Friday which was long overdue. I got a mixture of dark browns and light browns for Fall. It's always nice to relax and be pampered from time to time. Every woman needs it! Have I mentioned that my hairdresser Ginger is simply the best?!

3) On Sunday, we went on a Harvest Heritage Tour and it was the neatest thing. It's a self-guided drive through Appalachia! You get to see Pioneer Villages, Old churches, Farms, Pumpkin Patches, see Sorghum being made and eat delicious home cooked meals at certain stops. It was like a step back in time. I recommend everyone go on one of these tours. I love this photo of Raylan helping stir the Sorghum.

4) I also love this photo of Raylan taking a picture of this 590lb pumpkin with his toy camera. He was amazed by the giant pumpkin!

5) I have been planning for Raylan and his cousin's halloween party. I'm getting so excited! I love the holidays and all of the fun festivities. When you have kids, it's like you get to be a kid again and share all the excitement with them.

This week's featured blogger is Kenzie from Connected in the Kitchen. Kenzie has interests in baking, cooking and child development. She has several recipes on her blog. I love her most recent recipe of Carrot Cake Cupcakes. They look so delicious! Please stop by and say hello to Kenzie!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to linkup below. Have a blessed weekend!
