High Five For Friday- Christmas Recap

Welcome to the weekly High Five For Friday linkup hosted by Tif @ Bright On A Budget, Katie @ Cup of TeaBecky @ BYBMG   and myself. We're glad you're here! High Five for Friday is where we come together to share five highlights or five favorite things from the past week each Friday.

We had a wonderful Christmas! Even though there was a lot of sickness, I truly believe this was the best Christmas that we have had. We are blessed more than we deserve. It also snowed on Christmas day so we had a white Christmas which was perfect.

1) Raylan and I celebrated Christmas Eve morning in the best way a person could.  We went to church and worshipped our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the real reason we celebrate the Christmas Season.

2) Christmas Eve was when we let Raylan open all of his gifts at my dad's house and at ours. Out of  all of the gifts from that day, he loved his board games the best. We have played his games all week long.

3) Even though we were on the go, Christmas Day was still a very relaxing day. My dad and I ordered a Subway Platter and had a fruit and veggie tray with a few desserts for his dinner. That made for a much easier day for me since I normally do all of the cooking. Finger Foods are the best way to go for Christmas! I think Thanksgiving needs to be the day for cooking and Christmas should be simple foods. I was able to enjoy watching Raylan more this way. Justin's mom cooked on Christmas evening and we enjoyed spending time with everyone, especially our niece and nephews that we rarely get to see. The photo above was taken at my mother-in-laws. She made an adorable Christmas photo backdrop for everyone to take pictures by. She is so creative.

4) Raylan loved his big gift from us that we saved for Christmas morning and his stockings from Santa. He had a wonderful time and so did we.  I love watching my baby have fun and enjoy himself. However, I am still organizing to try to make room for toys. I don't like the cleanup after Christmas. That's a job and a half!

5) My favorite gift was a Study Bible from my dad. Bibles make for the best gifts. My dad also got me some Pioneer Woman things which are gorgeous!  Justin  got me the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, earrings and some gray Converse Shoes that I have been wanting forever. I'm ready to be stylish in the new year.

How was your Christmas? I hope you had a wonderful one!
