Welcome to the weekly High Five For Friday link-up hosted by Tif @ Bright On A Budget, Katie @ Cup of TeaBecky @ BYBMG   and myself. We're glad you're here! High Five for Friday is where we come together to share five highlights or five favorite things from the past week each Friday.

Our weekend and the first part of the week was rough. Raylan was diagnosed with Strep and was also dehydrated. He had to miss school on Monday, but he is hopefully now on the mend. Let's recap my favorites from this week because all of that sickness definitely was no fun.

1) I rounded up my Fall Bucket List and can't wait to get started in on all the fun that Fall has to offer if it would ever stop raining. You can check out my bucket list here

2) Tuesday, we celebrated my brother's 26th birthday. I really cannot believe he is that old. It sure makes this big sister feel a lot older.

3) I noticed that our local Walmart now has most of their Christmas decor out. That makes my heart oh so happy. I just love Fall and the upcoming holidays. I'm so excited!

4) A good friend of ours grew a few pumpkins and invited Raylan down to his house to pick one. Raylan was so excited to get his first pumpkin of the year. He loves Pumpkin Patches!

5) My husband is starting a new job next week so your prayers are appreciated for him and us as he embarks on this new journey.

Monthly Favorites: September Edition

I seriously cannot believe we are near the end of September! How has this month flown by so quickly? September is my favorite month because not only is it my birth month, but also the month where Fall begins.  I don't think it's a coincidence at all that I was born the month when the Fall season begins.  Fall really is my favorite! Anyway, I enjoy these monthly favorite editions because they help me keep track of what all my family and I have done throughout the month. These are also great reminders that I have a lot to be thankful for and that I truly am blessed. Here are my favorites from September...
  • I celebrated my 31st Birthday and I've been celebrating it all month long.
  • My family and I finally had a much needed weekend getaway the weekend of my birthday.
  • We took Raylan on his first ever trip to the theme park. He absolutely loved it!
  • Attended our local Harvest Festival and Parade. My family looks forward to this every year, especially the yummy lemondade and funnel cakes.
  • We hiked the New River Gorge. It was such a beautiful sight to see and experience.
  • I finally got a much needed new hair cut and style.
  • It turned Fall which is my most favorite season of all. So now I am a very happy camper.
  • I decorated for Fall.
  • I have had several pumpkin spice lattes already.
  • Raylan got to go on his first field trip with school. He loved it, especially getting to ride the big bus.
  • I began Christmas Shopping!

September really was an awesome month! What are your favorites from September?

I'm loving florals, burnt orange, mustard and buffalo plaid colors for this year. What are your favorite fashion trends and colors for Fall?

2) My family and I went hiking to New River Gorge on Saturday. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place with so much to see and do. You can read my review about it here

3) Raylan and I spent our Labor Day finishing up our Fall/Halloween décor.   He's so excited for Halloween.  He is just like me, he loves the holidays.

4) Speaking of Holidays, I started my Christmas Layaway  this week. I always like to start as soon as possible so that I can have the time and money to get everything done and not be so stressed. I like being able to relax and enjoy the holidays.

5) I'm in need of a new hair style for Fall. Any suggestions? I love changing my look up with the changing seasons.
