How To Pamper Yourself After Work This Fall

I love Fall! It is such a beautiful season and the temperatures are absolutely perfect.  It's a season of change but sometimes change can be hard on a person. It's hard to get to enjoy the season as much as you would like when you work. With Daylight Savings Time change coming up, it's getting darker earlier which leaves less time to enjoy the Fall evenings once you're home from work. Some people even suffer with seasonal depression when Fall arrives. They also can suffer with several allergies and dry cracked skin when cooler temperatures set in. So even though Fall is such a wonderful season, one must take steps to Pamper themself for their well-being. Here are some ways to Pamper Yourself After Work This Fall.

  1. Go for a walk or run before it gets dark- I love walking on cool Fall evenings. There is just something about the fresh crisp air and the exercise from a walk that makes me feel so much better. 
  2. Read a Book- My favorite way to relax is curling up with a blanket and a good book. 
  3. Drink Hot Drinks- I love a good hot cup of coffee, cappuccino, or hot cocoa. I love sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of nature with a hot drink in my hand. 
  4. Take Vitamins- Vitamin C for Immunity and Magnesium for Bone and Muscle Health. Magnesium is also great for depression and anxiety. It has worked wonders for me. In fact, Magnesium has many great benefits. 
  5. Hydrate your body and skin- We all know that we need to drink plenty of Water, which I always do. However, we also need to hydrate our skin. Lotion up! Use plenty of lotion every day to keep from getting dry cracked skin. 
  6. Do more of what you love- Engage in your favorite hobbies, watch your favorite Halloween or Christmas movies, go to your favorite places. Have a good laugh and just be happy.
  7. Eat your favorite comfort foods- I love to eat soups and chilis during the Fall. I also love to bake my favorite desserts, preferably anything pumpkin. Just be sure to incorporate more healthy foods in your diet. 
  8. Pamper yourself at home- Paint your nails, try a new makeup look or take a relaxing hot bath while burning your favorite fall scented candles.
  9. Sit around a fire- I love sitting by our firepit, while roasting marshmallows and making s'mores with my little family. It's just so relaxing.
  10. Be around family and friends- It's ok to have your alone time, but be sure to be sociable and be around others. There is nothing better than a good conversation with someone you love or care about.

Make time to pamper yourself, get plenty of rest after work, be healthy, be happy and have a great Fall!
