This has been such a fun-filled week full of Christmas and Winter Festivities. Let me get right to our favorites from this week.
1) Raylan saw Santa in town on Saturday and was excited to be the first in line to tell him a full length list of all the things he wanted lol. Santa always comes to our local Gazebo and they always have it fixed up so beautifully.
2) Saturday evening, my little Family attended the Christmas in the Mountains event and watched the Keep Christ in Christmas Parade. It was such a wonderful thing to be a part of. I love how our hometown is doing so many wonderful things this Christmas for our little community. Several homes including ours are lifting up Christ this Christmas by lighting up crosses to display.
3. We had our first decent snow on Sunday for the season. We got around 2-3 inches of snow. It was so beautiful to watch coming down and it made it feel even more like Christmas. School was cancelled for two days, so Raylan made the best of his snow days by making snow angels and throwing snowballs.
4) Raylan's school had their annual Christmas event with Brother's of the Wheel and it was such a wonderful event. All of the children got to have snacks, meet Santa, receive gifts, books, toys and clothes. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brother's of the Wheel and his school. They truly are awesome! It was such a good day.
5) Our community also hosted a cute little event throughout this week. Santa landed on top of the roof of our local community center and the fire department had to take their ladder and rescue him off the roof. That was such a magical event. All of the children's faces lit up. I loved taking Raylan to that. I try to make as many memories with him as I can and that was truly worth going to.
That's a wrap for my week. How was your week?
