I hope everyone has had a great week. Here are my 5 favorites from this past week. 

1) Raylan was so surprised and excited when he saw his birthday sign at school. He totally wasn’t expecting that at all. He was one happy camper!

2) There wasn’t school last week or part of this week due to illnesses and flooding, but school was back in session Wednesday. So, Raylan got to have a party with his classmates Wednesday since he didn’t have school on his actual birthday.  I took in some of his favorite foods and some party hats and the kids had a blast. He’s celebrated his birthday all month long. 

3) Justin and I actually managed to sneak in a date over the weekend. We hadn’t had a date day in forever due to everyone being so sick. Even though our date lasted for only 3 hours, it was so nice to be able to spend some quality time together.  Dates with your spouse are very important. You have to make time for each other.

4) I found some great home decor items at the Dollar Tree and found a cute pair of shoes for only $6 at our local bargain barn. I love scoring a good deal and saving money!

5) We had terrible flooding over the weekend and so many people need our prayers. The water got close to us but thankfully we didn't get flooded. It just left things in a big mess.  I’m glad the later part of this week has been beautiful with warm spring like weather. We have made the most of it and did our best to cleanup from the flood and actually enjoy the beautiful sunshine.
