Hearty Slow Cooker Beef Stew - Della Devoted

Hearty Slow Cooker Beef Stew

I don’t know about you, but there is something about this time of year that make you crave a good hearty meal. I always want stews, soups and chili’s during Fall. There is nothing better than coming home from work to a good hearty Slow Cooker  meal to warm up with when it’s cool outside. One of my favorite meals is this Hearty Slow Cooker Beef Stew.

This Beef Stew has now became a family favorite. I made it last week and my family is already requesting it again. It really is the perfect warm you up meal. My husband and brother are both very picky eaters and they have approved it. If they approve of it, then you know it is delicious.

Ingredients you will need:
1lb Extra Lean Beef Stew Tips
1 package of Beef Stew Seasoning Mix
3 1/2 cups of Water
2 cans of Sliced Potatoes
2 cans of Carrots
1 can of Peas
Celery (however much you prefer)
2 Tbsp of Flour
Salt & Pepper for Seasoning

Cooking Method:

First, put stew tips in Slow Cooker. Next, add all other ingredients except for Seasoning Mix and Flour.  Cook on low for 8-10 hours. I prepare mine before leaving for work and just let it cook all day. About an hour or two before stew is finished, add in Seasoning Mix and Flour for flavoring and to thicken it. You don't want to add the seasoning mix as soon as you start cooking because you don't want it to cook all the flavoring out. The trick is to add it when it is close to being finished so that the flavoring is bold.

Warm up to a good hot bowl of this Beef Stew this Fall. I hope you enjoy it!
