High Five For Friday - Della Devoted

High Five For Friday

Welcome to the weekly High Five For Friday link-up hosted by Tif @ Bright On A Budget, Becky @ BYBMGand myself. We're glad you're here! High Five for Friday is where we come together to share five highlights or five favorite things from the past week each Friday.

1) Last weekend, Justin and I surprised Raylan with dinner to his favorite place which is Giovanni’s. He received his second reading book and made a 100% on his spelling test. So, a good treat was well deserved for Raylan. He loves going to eat there but of course the games are his favorite.

2) I was having a rough morning one day. I was physically and mentally exhausted. It was one of those kind of days that you have to pray a lot and ask God to help you get through the day. Well at the end of the day, God sure blessed me! One of my sweet friends surprised me with this beautiful Christmas necklace. She had left it in my car while I was at work. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gift.  It sure blessed me and made my day a lot better.

3) Over the weekend, Justin and I finally got to have a date day. Those are few and far between these days with work and so much sickness. The date day was much needed. We enjoyed a nice dinner and got some Christmas shopping done. Have you gotten much shopping done for Christmas yet?

4) I love to read, especially this time of year. I love getting cozy with a warm blanket and curling up with a good book by the Christmas tree. I’m currently reading a new book. It’s Forever My Girl by Heidi McLaughlin. It’s such a good read. You should give it a try.

5) I’ve been trying to get prepared for Thanksgiving. I’m doing little things like putting my pies together and freezing them until it’s time to bake them. I’ve also been making up my cookie dough. When you check little things off your list like that, it makes life so much more simple. You’re not nearly as rushed or stressed when the holiday arrives. Have you been doing anything to get prepared for Thanksgiving yet?

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to link-up below. Have a blessed and safe weekend and have a very blessed Thanksgiving!

  1. That is such a nice gesture from your friend and it's beautiful! I picked up a few things at Marshalls for gifts, will be getting a few more from Kohl's during their Black Friday sale, and will be looking for a cotton comforter for my daughter. It's soooo hard to find them made out of cotton and they they seem to cost a fortune when I do find one.
Great pictures, and it sounds like you're getting well prepared for Thanksgiving!
    Thanks for co-hosting the linkup!
